        Knowledge Networking Events 

          The Expert Knowledge Network hosts workshops and events featuring multiple seminars and workshops.  These multi-seminar events are organized to create unique value in specific industry segments.  Because our network organizes Subject Matter Experts within specific industry segments, we create new synergies within these communities, bringing business consultants and Subject Matter Experts together in collaborative alliances.  We identify these as “Knowledge Domains” where experts in any field can band together and participate in a stewardship committee to help identify other valued experts and mentor each other in growing their own expertise.  These synergies create added value inside industry communities and make our workshops trusted spaces where professional communities can pass on knowledge to other members.  We call these multi-seminar and workshop events, “Knowledge Network Events”.  We work closely with our stewardship committees to plan workshops that cover the topics that are most important to specific communities, both for workforce development and for more advanced learning focused around cutting edge technologies and best practices.  Our Knowledge Networking Events are the best place to stay abreast of the latest developments in your own professional community and get connected to others in your community.  Our clients participate both as teachers and learners in this constantly evolving body of knowledge.

   We offer special workshops for both academe and business communities.  In some cases, these worlds are already in close contact, particularly where there is an exchange of research.  In other areas, the academic world and the business world remain much less connected.  Our workshops provide a place where both can meet.  Some workshops are designed specifically to meet the needs of the academic world and some are designed to meet the needs of the business world.  Our consultants often work both sides of the table.  Because we support Baldrige standards and practices, many of our workshops help both the academic world and the business community raise the bar on their own performance and embrace a culture of continuous improvement.

Unlike conferences or traditional seminars and training events, our workshops bring together our network of consultants creating an active, networking process where relationships can grow and information about new ideas and best practices can migrate throughout the community.  For that reason we call our workshops “Knowledge Networking Events”.  Many are broadcasted live, eliminating travel costs and providing easy access to our entire network of consultants who can remain plugged into our network of information and new ideas giving them the ability to find synergies between themselves and other consultants.  Our Knowledge Networking Events are more about action than listening and facilitate the exploration of further solutions for the benefit of all the participants.

         Academic Consulting Services

Our consulting services fulfill specific needs identified at the micro end of the scale originally addressed through our workshops or from specific inquiries for subject matter experts from institutions looking for a consultant.This entails addressing specific needs that have been identified by an institution which will proceed to identify a knowledge expert that can assist them in fulfilling their immediate needs and proactively provide the means to retain a continuous improvement plan of action.  Together our consultants and clients work out a solution and an action plan through a collaborative problem solving process.  Our vast network of consultants from multiple institutions and multiple backgrounds create a diverse resource.This diversity provides the means for ideas, best practices and innovative change to be communicated throughout the educational community.  Individual consultants have unique combinations of skills, knowledge and experience that enhance a collaborative approach to addressing any issues or challenge.With over 300 years of experience (and growing) our network is comprised of professionals in education including, professors, deans, assessment directors, former deans, VP’s of academic affairs and faculty that are examiners/evaluators from professional accreditation bodies. Our consultants fulfill specific needs identified at the micro end of the scale, in most cases as they are addressed through our workshops. Once specific needs have been identified by a business organization a knowledge expert can be identified to help fulfill the immediate needs of the organization and proactively provide the means to retain a continuous improvement plan of action. Together our consultants and clients work out a solution and an action plan through a collaborative problem solving process.    Accreditation Services

  The Expert Knowledge Network provide a single go to point in the academic world to reach out to any accreditation organization that touches your institution.  Initial consultations can direct you to the resources and people with whom you need to collaborate.  We also support a standard consultation process that includes reports with actionable items and a follow up process which includes a three page narrative and a spreadsheet with actionable items with dates set by accreditation bodies (or self defined dates) for specific deliverables, follow up dates and well defined benchmarks that track both the deliverables and the results that you expect.

               If you are a professional association producing content for your industry segment we can help you with your certification needs.  Through our relationships with academe, we can provide you with academic oversight for certification of your content.  This service is particularly valuable if you are creating content that is fulfilling Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) within your industry.  Our relationships with academe also can open the door to creating curriculum built around your CEU content.  If you are creating knowledge and skills in a new industry segment and would like to explore the possibility of working with academe to create specialized degree programs to fulfill the workforce needs of your industry we can facilitate discussions along those lines as well.
